Overview
We’re supporting a global consumer platform undergoing major investment in its digital payments and checkout ecosystem. They are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to help shape and scale high traffic web applications used across multiple international markets.
This is a hands on senior role focused on performance, architecture, and customer critical user journeys rather than marketing sites or brochureware builds.
What you’ll be doing
• Building and scaling modern React and Next.js applications in production environments
• Driving frontend architecture decisions and engineering standards
• Improving performance across checkout and transaction heavy user journeys
• Implementing robust testing strategies using Jest and React Testing Library
• Collaborating with backend, DevOps, and product teams across the full delivery lifecycle
• Enhancing build tooling, CI pipelines, and developer experience
• Contributing to secure, resilient, and observable web platforms
Tech environment
• React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Redux or modern state management patterns
• Node.js and API integration layers
• GraphQL and REST services
• Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress
• CI CD, GitHub Actions, containerised deployments
• Modern CSS, Tailwind, component libraries
What they’re looking for
• Senior level experience building complex web applications
• Strong React and TypeScript production expertise
• Proven experience optimising frontend performance
• Solid testing culture and quality mindset
• Experience working on ecommerce, checkout, or payment platforms preferred
• Comfortable operating in high scale, customer facing environments
• Ability to own delivery from architecture through to production
