- Handling cargo shipments from A to Z, including booking shipments, arranging transport, and ensuring that all documentation is in order;
- Maintaining contacts with customers, transporters, liners and suppliers, ensuring that all parties are kept up-to-date on the status of shipments;
- Planning and organising flows, ensuring that shipments are delivered on time and within budget;
- Advising customers on logistical issues and offering suitable solutions, ensuring that customers are satisfied with our services;
- Preparing customs export declarations, ensuring that all shipments comply with customs regulations;
- Making bookings with the shipping companies, ensuring that the best possible rates are obtained;
- Organising LCL console boxen, ensuring that shipments are packed and shipped safely.
The Successful Applicant
- You have a relevant qualification, such as a degree in logistics or a related field;
- You are proactive and like to think in terms of solutions, always looking for ways to improve our processes;
- You are stress-resistant and accurate, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines;
- You have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- You have at least 2 years of experience within an import and/or export related role.
