As a Systems Engineer, you would be part of a multidisciplinary team working on technically challenging programs where precision, collaboration, and engineering excellence matter. You contribute across the entire systems engineering lifecycle, helping turn mission concepts into operational reality.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Systems Engineer at Axient Systems, you will:
· Support the development of system concepts, requirements, criteria, analyses, and trade studies across the full systems engineer lifecycle.
· Produce engineering documentation, reports, and drawings supporting design, development, production, testing, and operations.
· Perform engineering activities to ensure design, assembly, integration, testing, and operations comply with interface specifications and mission requirements.
· Gather, compile, maintain, and analyse technical data such as test results, engineering changes, drawings, and technical documentation.
· Identify, analyse, and help resolve complex engineering issues.
You will also support program execution by:
· Participating in program and design reviews.
· Interacting, communicating, and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
· Performing and reviewing engineering analyses and evaluations.
· Reviewing and contributing to test plans, procedures, reports, and technical data packages (requirements, drawings, models, ICDs, specifications, and standards).
· Developing and implementing engineering-related plans and procedures (e.g. Systems Engineering Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Security Strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, Lifecycle Sustainment Strategy).
· Supporting assembly, integration, and test execution, including witnessing activities.
· Supporting system operations, troubleshooting, configuration control, and risk management.

What You Bring to the Team
· Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or a comparable engineering discipline).
· 5-8 years of experience in the aerospace or space engineering industry.
· Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes.
· Experience with space or aerospace systems, operations, spacecraft design, requirements development, or mission concepts.
· Ability to work effectively in a thigh-knit team environment as well as independently.
· Very good verbal and written communication skills in English. Dutch is a plus.
Nice to have
· A Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
· 3-6 years of directly relevant experience when holding a Master’s degree.
