Junior IT Application Specialist in our ERP (MS Dynamics 365) team

The role

Reporting to the ERP Applications Manager, you will support the ERP team in maintaining and enhancing the organization’s ERP landscape. This position supports end-users with functional system issues, contributes to system updates, and helps develop new functionality to meet evolving business needs. The Junior Application Specialist works within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the platform supports efficient and standardized business processes. The position holder is expected to learn the functionality of the ERP, with active support of the team and company, and grow into the ERP IT Application Specialist role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in safeguarding the standard Business Central template and ensure compliance with company-wide process standards.
  • Provide functional support to users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to daily system usage.
  • Supports system upgrades, hotfix deployments, and implementation of new releases.
  • Under supervision of senior colleagues from the ERP team, gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for new functionality or improvements.
  • Configure, test, and implement enhancements or extensions, where needed, in collaboration with (external) technical consultants.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide training sessions to ensure user adoption.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation (process guides, configuration records, change logs) to support template governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key users to continuously improve system use and user experience.
  • Learn and stay up to date with Microsoft updates, best practices, and new features relevant to Business Central.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Ideally some experience or knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform integrations (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
  • Very good English, both written and spoken
  • Analytical skills. Structured problem-solver.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process consistency.
  • Team-player, comfortable working in an international environment.
