Manufacturing Finance & Operations Controller – Injectables
Netherlands, Almere – 3 days a week
We are supporting a growing international manufacturing organisation in the search for a Manufacturing Finance & Operations Controller to lead financial performance, cost control and operational efficiency across its Injectables manufacturing network.
This is a highly visible role that sits at the intersection of Finance and Operations, partnering directly with plant leadership to drive cost transparency, accountability and continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and optimise Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), including materials, labour, overheads and manufacturing variances
- Establish robust cost control frameworks and strengthen OPEX and CAPEX governance
- Lead site-level financial performance reviews and drive accountability for results
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement to identify and deliver efficiency improvements
- Develop standardised costing models, KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance metrics
- Translate operational performance into financial insight, supporting strategic decision-making and investment planning
- Drive cultural change by embedding financial ownership and performance accountability throughout manufacturing operations
About You
- 10+ years' experience in Manufacturing Finance, Operations Finance or Plant Controlling
- Strong expertise in COGS management, cost optimisation and manufacturing performance analysis
- Demonstrated success delivering operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders in complex manufacturing environments
- Confident influencing, challenging and driving change across cross-functional teams
- Experience within pharmaceuticals, life sciences, healthcare manufacturing or other highly regulated industries is advantageous
