The Project Controls Manager will lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team responsible for cost management, planning, scheduling, change oversight, risk monitoring, and reporting across a large-scale EPC project. This position ensures that all control processes align with both contractual obligations and corporate governance standards, while supporting the overall project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise a team of project control professionals, including planners, cost engineers, and change specialists.
- Deliver consistent and compliant project control services across financial management, invoicing, change management, risk governance, planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with procurement, subcontract, and commercial managers to oversee subcontractor performance.
- Define, validate, and maintain core project structures such as WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure).
- Establish, approve, and update project baselines for cost, schedule, and progress reporting.
- Oversee client billing activities under both reimbursable and lump-sum contract models.
- Consolidate and present cost and financial performance indicators (e.g., cash flow and VOWD) for internal and client reporting.
- Coordinate project planning activities, ensuring alignment of subcontractor schedules and integrating progress measurement processes.
- Manage the project’s change control framework, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and reporting.
- Facilitate and document project risk assessments, while supporting the Project Manager in risk-related decision-making.
- Provide stakeholders with clear updates on cost, finance, schedule, progress, change control, and risk management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of professional experience across cost management, planning, scheduling, change management, and risk processes, including a minimum of 5 years leading project control teams on large EPC projects .
- Proven expertise with ERP and financial systems and Primavera P6.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including data analysis using pivot tables, functions, and visualization tools.
- Strong reporting, presentation, and communication abilities.
- Collaborative mindset, ethical conduct, and the ability to build positive working relationships.
