Requirements:
- This role is fully remote. You can work from anywhere in South Africa. xtzxhlp
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Deep expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining large-scale, highly available systems
- Strong leadership in defining SLOs, SLAs, and error budget policies
- Expert-level command of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
- Experience driving reliability culture and blameless post-mortem practices
- Experience working in an English speaking environment
Nice to have:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
- Familiarity with chaos engineering principles and tooling
- Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g. Istio, Linkerd)
- Prior background in software development or systems programming
- Knowledge of a backend language such as Go, Python, or Java
