How do you contribute as Software Engineer?
As a Software Engineer, you develop and optimize software and hardware for the commissioning and maintenance of machines and assembly lines. You are continuously working on modifications such as new suppliers, quality improvements, and volume increases, based on input from internal customers or planning. Additionally, you guide suppliers in designing and writing machine software and in its implementation. In case of complex malfunctions, you support the maintenance department in resolving them.

Your daily responsibilities also include:

  • Practically analyzing production processes and initiating and implementing improvements;
  • Advising the PE Project Leader in drafting functional specifications for new projects;
  • Developing, detailing, and executing a test plan with the corresponding approach;
  • Discussing specifications with suppliers and advising the purchasing department on ordering materials and services;
  • Assessing technical plans and project concepts;
  • Safeguarding the Industrial Automation Standard in both in-house and outsourced work.

You also have:

  • A bachelors degree or similar in Industrial Automation (TBK), Electrical Engineering, or a related field;-
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written;
  • Experience in a production environment is a plus;
  • Knowledge of control technologies such as PLC (Siemens, Mitsubishi), Robotics, Vision, Servo, MES.

Where will you be working as a Software Engineer?
Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V. (MTEE) is a group company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) in Japan. The location in Almere consists of two divisions: Engine & Energy and Turbocharger. The first division engineers and sells gas and diesel engines and generator sets. MTEE is also a global player in the field of turbochargers for the automotive industry. We are the only organization in the Netherlands that develops and produces its own turbochargers. We are involved in the entire development process of the turbocharger. This makes us unique in what we do.

The Production Engineering department designs, configures, and modifies existing and new production equipment and processes (lines) for the production of turbochargers and related components. Product and process development ranges from further development to complete innovations. The activities within Production Engineering are divided into teams: mechanical design, process engineering, project engineering, and industrial automation. The department employs approximately 40 FTE.
