Job Summary

As a Software Solution Architect – Warehouse Software Solutions, you will act as the functional and operational subject matter expert for warehouse software solutions throughout design, testing, commissioning and go‑live activities. Your contribution will ensure software solutions perform effectively in real warehouse environments and support critical operational workflows.

You will work closely with customers, operations teams, software developers, QA teams and project stakeholders, translating warehouse processes into software behaviour and ensuring solutions meet operational requirements. You will bridge the gap between warehouse operations and software functionality, helping customers understand how software enables efficient warehouse execution.

This is a customer‑facing role where your expertise will directly influence successful project delivery, operational readiness and long‑term customer success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary software subject matter expert during customer workshops, testing, commissioning and go‑live activities.
  • Collaborate with customers and operations teams to understand warehouse requirements and ensure software solutions support operational workflows.
  • Translate operational processes into software requirements, workflows and testing scenarios.
  • Guide QA, integration testing and commissioning teams on expected functionality, system behaviour and validation criteria.
  • Lead customer and stakeholder discussions, explaining how software solutions address operational challenges and support warehouse execution.
  • Partner with Product Management, Software Development, Controls and Operations teams to align software capabilities with system design and customer expectations.
  • Identify operational gaps, edge cases and process risks during design and testing, driving effective resolution.
  • Support end‑to‑end solution validation, including integrations with WMS, WCS, Warehouse Execution Systems, automation systems, robotics and material handling equipment.
  • Review and refine user stories, functional requirements, workflows and operational scenarios.
  • Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting activities, helping teams diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to software development teams.
  • Maintain expertise in warehouse processes, warehouse automation technologies and software capabilities to support future customer implementations and product evolution.

Qualifications Needed

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with warehouse software solutions, warehouse operations or supply chain execution systems.
  • Proven experience with warehouse automation solutions is essential. Experience should include technologies such as AutoStore, ASRS, conveyor systems, sortation systems, robotics or goods‑to‑person solutions.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse workflows, fulfilment operations and distribution centre processes.
  • Experience with Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting testing, commissioning or go‑live activities for large‑scale warehouse implementations.
  • Strong understanding of integrations between WES, WCS, WMS and warehouse automation systems.
  • Experience defining and validating operational test scenarios and workflows.
  • Ability to review and refine software requirements, user stories and operational documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
  • Experience in logistics, fulfilment, retail distribution or supply chain environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in operational and business‑focused language.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross‑functional teams.
  • Location: Netherlands or Czech Republic.
  • Immediate assignment in Cheb, Czech Republic, for approximately the first 12 months.
  • Following the initial assignment, travel across Europe will be required for approximately 30–40% of the time. xnkfpon
