who are you
As a warehouse associate, you must meet the following requirements:
- you are at least 16 years old
- you are available to work 24â40 hours per week on a two-shift schedule
- you are physically fit; lifting and stacking boxes is no problem for you
- you are available for at least 3 weeks between weeks 28 and 35
- you are available for day shifts during week 35
what will you do
Curious about what a typical workday looks like? đś
You start your shift with your colleagues in the department where youâre scheduled to work that day. After the team leader briefly explains the plan, you get right to work. Sometimes you walk through the warehouse with a picking list to gather the right books. Other times youâre at the packing table, quickly preparing packages for shipment. Youâre on the move all day long. So youâve already got that workout in the bag by the end of your day! đââď¸
Between weeks 28 and 34, youâll work on a two-shift system. This is ideal for your free time. One week, youâll work the morning shift from 7:00 AM to 2:45 PM. This leaves you plenty of time for your own plans for the rest of the afternoon. The following week, youâll work the afternoon shift from 3:00 PM to 10:45 PM. In the final week, week 35, we work the day shift. This gives you the freedom to sleep in or start your day at a leisurely pace. This way, you can perfectly combine this temporary job with your social life. And youâll have plenty of time left over for fun activities. đ
where will you work
At VanDijk, youâll be working in the warehouse of one of the largest schoolbook suppliers in the Netherlands. All schoolbooks for high school students are shipped from Kampen.
Thereâs a large terrace where you can relax in the sun during your break. Thereâs also a cafeteria with delicious sandwiches. Transportation? Taken care of! A free bus runs to and from Kampen. And the best part is that youâll get to meet lots of new people along the way!
